Steve Facts and Info

• Father was killed by mustard gas in May of 1918. This was two months before Steve was born. He was in the 107th Infantry which Steve aspired to be apart of.
• Bucky intervened when Steve was in a fight with some bullies as a kid and their friendship formed from there.
• Mother died of TB while working as a nurse in the TB ward in 1936. Steve was 18.
• Steve graduated from George Washington High School in 1936 and went to Auburndale Art School from 1937 until 1938.
• After Steve learned about the war he wanted to enlist and had Bucky train him in boxing for two weeks. Eventually Steve was classified as 4F for a multitude of health issues.
