CHARACTER INTERPRETATION
» Appearance: Steve Rogers is your average all American male. He doesn't dress in flashy clothes and he looks rather nice in plaid. He's six foot with blondeish brown hair that is usually combed to the side. He has bright blue eyes and tries to maintain a very neat and well kept appearance. He's usually sporting a derpy grin or something along those lines. Steve's appearance is all because of the super soldier serum though. Sometimes he feels out of sorts because of it.
» Suitability: N/A.
» Orientation: Heterosexual. Steve has only ever shown attention to women in the movies. It's touched on multiple times that he gets tongue tied talking to women. Steve obviously is interested in Peggy Carter romantically when he's working under her and Colonel Phillips. They make plans for a date, but Steve is unable to make it due to sacrificing his life to take down Red Skull's plane. Natasha talks about the women at SHIELD that would be interested in Steve if he just asked them out.
» Personality: Steve Rogers is probably one of the most genuine people that you will meet. Steve has always been willing to put his life on the line and this was before he was durable and at the top of human performance. He has a big heart that always has him putting other people before him. He's always chosen to protect people and perhaps that's why he uses a shield. Steve doesn't have blasters like Tony or a hammer like Thor. He doesn't have arrows like Clint. Steve Rogers will put himself in the line of fire for anyone if they need his help. Steve doesn't just believe in being patriotic for the sake of being patriotic. He believes in serving his country and doing what's right because it's the right thing to do. The right thing has always been something that's Steve believed in since his father served in the first World War.
He reacts incredibly harshly to those who abuse power or try to manipulate people below them. A lot of men from his time went to war hoping to prove something to themselves or those around them. Steve Rogers went to war because Hitler's gross misuse of power hit home with him. Bullies have never been something he's been able to tolerate. He's always tried to protect people and himself from bullies (even though he wasn't ever successful growing up). It's because of this honest spirit that he was even considered for the super soldier project. Steve proved himself in training time and time again, but the big hit came when Colonel Phillips threw a dummy grenade at the soldiers. They were exercising and many of them scattered for cover, but Steve threw his small body onto the grenade to shield the others from the blast without knowing it wasn't live. He yelled for people to stand back. Steve never needed super powers to fight and protect, but they are an added bonus.
Steve has always had trouble with women. As a small man who would get sick or hurt at the drop of the hat not many women were interested in him. He talks about standing on the sidelines constantly at dance halls because he was too afraid to talk to women because of his lack of coordination. He was content to sit on the side and watch his best friend go after them. Steve maintains this tongue tied nature even after the serum changes his physical appearance. He often has issues talking to Peggy in a romantic situation and gets flustered when women openly flirt with him during his USO tour. It's seen again when the female soldier comes onto him. Steve isn't sure how to take the attention and winds up cornered. He respects women a great deal and is constantly calling them ma'am despite if they're in the military or not. Men get the title of sir unless he's friends with them like the Howling Commandos.
His overall personality basically stays the same, but Steve does a get bit more world weary when he is broken out of the ice. He's lost all of his friends and it's put a strain on him. He keeps busy by working out and sketching, but it's hard for Steve to forget a life that wasn't so long ago for him. The world changed so quickly and he wasn't sure how to play catch-up. The world is more cynical than he remembers it and people act so different. No one seems genuine about anything and they all seem to worship sarcasm and attitude. Steve is visibly upset when he learns that SHIELD has been making weapons to use against Thor and his in case they come down to cause problems again. The government he remembers wasn't this secretive. He's constantly irritated by Tony Stark's look at me behavior and comments that Tony Stark wouldn't know a true sacrifice if it hit him in the face.
Steve Rogers will do the right thing because it's the right thing and not because he gets something out of it. He'll sink a plane with himself in it into the ocean if it means saving millions of people. He'll lay his body down on a grenade to protect a handful of mean. Steve Rogers is a hero and is respected by a large number of people in SHIELD. Steve is also a military man and will most likely always following a commanding officers order. He follows the orders given to him after the serum project where he's put on a USO tour. Despite the fact that it's an underuse of his abilities Steve doesn't complain. He only defies orders when Bucky needs him. Steve follows Fury's orders in the Avengers until he starts to suspect that he's not being told the whole truth.
Loyalty is a big thing for Steve Rogers. If he considers you a friend or an ally then he'll always come to your aid. When he gets word of Bucky's unit being overrun there is no power that can stop him. He's determined to walk there until Peggy offers to help him. He's willing to take a million risks after Erskine is shot and killed. He runs after the attacker without knowing how the serum has changed him and if it's all just cosmetic or did it really happen. He chases the man down because he shot and killed someone that Steve considered to be a friend. Though it's incredibly probable that Steve would do this for any human being that needed his help.

[ Steve barely trusts technology these days. He's watched HYDRA wipe men off the battlefield because of "technology". The way Stark wields technology is just another reason for him not to trust it. The device they've given him has remained in his pocket for some time. Exploring on his own is a must. He needs to get a layout before he can make any rash decisions. He goes six hours before he actually turns the thing on and addresses the people.
He tilts his head at the screen and tries to remain neutral. He doesn't know what to make of any of this honestly. It's all a hazy blur. However they managed to mute his powers is beyond him. They must have some sort of alien technology around here. That's the only thing that makes sense. ]
My name's Captain Steve Rogers. [ He's still not great with things like this so it's possible it's mostly recording his chest. ] I'm not entirely certain where I am or what's going on, but I'd appreciate some face time. The basket's nice and I appreciate the paperwork, but I'm not buying it. Contact if you can.

Steve's surprised to find that when he opened his eyes that he's physically sore. He's fatigued and his head is cloudy. He hasn't felt like this since before the war. He feels drained and run down. There's a distinct tingling somewhere inside of him and when he has pushed himself up there's a pain in his lower back. The collar is what Steve noticed first. It's fairly loose, but the sensation of it rubbing against his neck is there. It's really hard to ignore the way it moved and slid against his skin. "Not what I expected."
The second thing that's confusing Steve is the lack of anything underneath this sheet. He's not exactly wearing full pajamas when he goes to bed, but he's not a naked sleeper either. Can't sleep naked in the war. You sometimes have to get up and go. You can't sleep naked. There's a damp spot on the bed which has Steve extra confused. He hasn't had one of those since he was a teenager. Wet dreams are a problem even for the most respectful teenage boy. Whatever happened the night before must've been drug induced. He didn't remember a single bit of it.
He didn't see his first time happening like this. He kind of always thought it'd be with a nice girl from the block once he grew out of his awkward phase. He didn't think he'd not remember a single moment of it. That's a bit unsettling and has left Steve with a huge frown at the idea of it happening that way.
Steve pushed himself out of the bed completely and onto his feet. He stumbled across the bedroom and found his clothes. Once he's dressed he has a chance to take in the surroundings. The room is nice. Nicer than the rooms they used to put him up in when he did his USO tours. He's not exactly sure he trusts this kind of hospitality though. The basket has caught his eye, but he's more preoccupied by the window. The scenery is beautiful. It's the vacation spot every man dreams of. It's gotta have something wrong with it. People don't just kidnap you to take you on vacation. They also don't drug you, have sex with you and strap a collar on your neck. This is way too out there.
